Welcome to the official Homepage of Shar Gaden Nampar Gyalway Ling, a Monastic University for higher Buddhist studies, located in Tibetan Camp, Mundgod, South India. Presently there are 850 resident monks studying Mahayana Buddhist Philosophy, Tantric courses and as well as modern education. Since the inception of the monastery, many novices have been coming from diverse sides like Himalayan region, Tibet, Mongolia, Nepal etc to study monastic curriculum and sutra and tantra which we consider it as a great compliment. Venerable Abbot Geshe Lobsang Phende Rinpoche is the spiritual leader of Shar Gaden while the current appointed administrators manages and maintain most of the secular matters combining with the rest of the affiliated departments such as;  educational department, Shar Gaden School & Library etc.
